Hey guys, I just thought I'd start this thread to see how everyone found the exam today.
    What text did you do?
    What essay did you choose?
How did you find Section A?
What did you think of the poems in Section B?

I did OMAM and did the Crooks essay (although I did do violence at first but crossed it out after 10 minutes, realising Crooks was the better choice for me). I like the extract question and think I wrote a good essay, although it's probably not the best I've written, I much prefer themes, but found the relationships aspect of violence more difficult to discuss, as there are less examples of it. I thought the poems were better than they have been in previous years.

I also did crooks and I quite liked the extract given. The poems were easier to understand I think this year , I thought it was a fair paper

I found the extract and essay quite good. The poetry I thought was too blunt and simple, with nor much of a deeper meaning.

I feel the exact same way. I too saw no deeper meaning with the poems, so instead wrote about what individual lines could suggest.
“Yanny” or “Laurel”
