So, I have a question regarding my EPQ. Please feel free to answer or ignore.

Why do we feel that we have to be perfect?

Well, that's how the media has conditioned us. Do you mean perfection through appearance or actions?

As humans, we strive for acceptance. We want people to like us, we won't be content otherwise. In fact, we feel like outcasts just because we haven't heard about the new jokes or trends that are going on and we cannot join in. These trends arise from the media - models showing off their perfect physique whilst wearing a face full of makeup. This is what we see and everyone seems to like it, so we copy it in the vane hope that it'll make everyone else like us. We don't want people to look at us weirdly or treat us differently if we don't know about harambe, for example. These are just some negative impacts.

However, as for perfection in a lighter light, we want to be perfect, kind individuals because we've always been taught that that's the right thing to do. You'll become more popular if you share and treat people well, they'll like you and play with you and in your time of need, they will be there for you. For people who have a clean heart, they don't want to hurt anyone, mistreat anyon, so they strive to be the best them that they can be because come on, we need some good guys in the world.
