I really miss this guy I was seeing over the summer. I started to feel quite claustrophobic and ended it during a particularly rough period of my life. The way in which I went about it was quite harsh.

I've thought about him a lot since although it's been 3 months now since we spoke & he may have deleted my number.

I was thinking of messaging him to apologise - is it worth it? I don't want to upset him further as he is most likely doing ok without me, but I just wanted him to know it was my own issues I was dealing with...
if so, should I send a simple message saying sorry or should I go in to more detail?

He always used to tell me he thought I was special and that he'd be upset if I messed things up. I didn't take this in to account at the time.

    Any advice appreciated, thanks

IVe been in a very similar situation actually but roles reversed, I was the one who was left behind. The most damaging thing would be if this guy did start talking to me again in all honesty. Although it may seem nice but in the long term it just confuses things. Just leave him be so you can both get on with your lives.

Personally, I would write a very detailed text message if you have a smartphone device or have his email address. I think you could write a letter and send it in the post but I would avoid short texts as these are often meaningless.
