    Hello

Just a quick question to those who've completed an A-Level in languages in the past 7 years or so.

My Q is, is that I know most teachers will choose the cultural topics to do and then teach you the relevant information you should use etc. but I do know that you yourself can also choose the cultural topic and the thing you wish to study (e.g. book; l’etranger) & then learn the info yourself - for people who did the latter; did you find it difficult? Did you perform welll in the writing exam etc..?

I ask because I don’t want to analyse a film and would rather do a book or a musician - which’d mean I’d have to self-study.

    Thanks in advance.
