    I am currently studying engineering foundation year but I am undecided next year if I would like to pursue royal navy or univerisity

    If you intend to have a career within the Royal Navy, it would be in your best interests to apply now. If you wanted to get a degree and then pursue that career, you should continue with your degree and prepare to apply for the Royal Navy as your degree comes to an end. It's totally up to you and what you want for your future.

    Navy is quite flexible, there are graduate only jobs so a degree would help, especially with something like engineering. But they're not against sending you off to do one if they think you are valuable enough.

    Get the degree first, it is a great fall back plan and will let you apply to the Royal Navy as an Officer (faster promotion, better salary etc)
