Getting a overdraft increase without a part time job? Watch

    I have a Halifax student account, with an overdraft from first year. I am aware that i can request to have an increase in overdraft, but am i required to have a job to be allowed this? Or does the banks take this into account, hence why they offered me the initial overdraft, when I havent had a job before

    They want to see that you have some sort of income...
    In my first year I got the £1000 overdraft then in my second year i got the £3000 but i had a three jobs
