    Write the GCSE english language and GCSE english literature grade boundaries predictions your school uses so we can all compare! If you don't know what grade boundaries your school uses, just estimate wat u think the grade boundaries will be like.
    and i know some of you will be like you cant know the grade boundaries, yes i know that , but i am very stressed simply because of these stupid grade boundaries because i really want a grade 7 but I am getting grade 5's :/

    same, i go to a prestigious private school and am quite an academically bright student, yet in English literature I have been predicted a 6 and English language a 7, I don't think you should be worried as more or less the whole country is struggling, as long as you are putting in as much effort as you can you should be good.

    Apparently in Language my school says:

    77-80 for a 9
    72 for an 8
    66 for a 7
    56 for a 6

    and for literature it's very high too....

    but schools don't understand that the grade boundaries are based off what students get... and they made the grade boundaries before we did the mock exams so....

    56-62 6

    70-75 8

    I think the grade boundaries that your school has predicted are way too high.

    73 was a 9 in our school
    67 was an 8
    60-61 was a 7
    55 was a 6
    49 for a 5

    You've also got to take into account the worst of the worst will be taking this exam, even ones who should be sitting foundation. Also this is the first ever time we will be taking the new GCSE so a lot of people will be struggling, so I expect the grade boundaries to be lower than expected.

    4 = 42
    5 = 48
    6 = 52
    7 = 56
    8 = 66
    9 = 76

    This is for both English Lit and Lang for Eduqas.

    Is this marks out of 80 ? Or the full 160? Do you know how the 40% 60% weighting works?

    They're the marks out of 80 for each component. Our school didn't really take into account of the weightings, just that the component 2 score would drag the grade higher if it was better than the component 1 score??
