    What is a refugee?

A traveler seeking refuge from a war or a conflict or a dangerous situation in their home country...not necessarily a migrant but seeking shelter until the problem that drove them to escape their country is resolved.

    What is an economic migrant?

A person who migrates to another country for economic reasons...these people usually hail from poverty stricken countries.

    What is an asylum seeker?

A person who migrates to another country fleeing persecution....these people usually hail from war torn countries.

    What is an expat?

A fancy word for the worst kind of migrant.

The kind of immigrant that has no reason for immigrating and has no loyalty to the country they migrate to. Usually you find these immigrants not integrating into the countries they migrate to at all and they abandon the country that gave them a home as soon as there is trouble and its of no longer use to them. These kind of migrants usually hail from countries that don't like immigration but export lots of immigrants to other countries themselves so they call their immigrants expats so as not to come across like hypocrites.

An expat is a white immigrant. It is our natural inclinication (as demonstrated by a poster above) to think we enrich rather than substract from any country we move to, whereas those immigrants coming from africa or asia or europe are sucking the life out if our country.

Thats why in daytime TV you have shows about moving to Australia filled with builders, carpenters, plumbers, etc who are praise the better pay and quality of life without the slightest hint of irony...

a refugee is a political immigrant, immigrating by compulsion
an econimic migrant is an economic immigrant, immigrating by convenience
so most migrants that contributed to the migrant crisis were the latter
