    Hey! Finally a thread for bio
    I am terrified, I still haven't revised all AS 😭 and A2 stuff are just soo hard to remember I keep forgetting ugh
    Also exam technique is driving me crazy

    What are you finding most difficult of the A2 spec??
    I haven't revised all AS yet too
    The thing that i'm struggling with the most when doing past papers is TIME!!!!!

    SAMEEE. They give us same time as in unit 1 and 2 but with 10 extra marks 😒 I'm finding it so hard!
    defo global warming, its not hard but the info is too much to remember ugh!

    Also PLEASE do u have any notes on measuring abundance core practical!! I need the one about distribution (transects) --- and do we always say that transects are SYSTEMATIC and quadrants for normal abundance is RANDOM? could u please help me out with this xx

    I do have some really good notes on that practical!! My teacher printed us out a booklet for core practicals, however i can't seem to find on the internet for free
    I can try to take some photos and load them here though!

    With measuring abundance there are two main types of sampling:
    1. Random Sampling - involves a number generator that gives you random coordinates of where to place the quadrats.
    2. Systematic Sampling - involves a belt transect and quadrats a placed along the line of the transect.

    I don't.. However I did notice based on past papers that this stuff came up quite a lot:
    - Starch and cellulose (structure and role), differences
    - Proteins (globular + fibrous - their properties and differences, structure of protein, enzymes)
    - Links between Golgi body and RER with T helper cells etc (because they are proteins and proteins are modified/formed in this organelles blabla)

    yeah and noticed also on fluid mosaic and cell cycle and reproduction in plant
