Would anyone be able to explain what the the below means? It has been advised by the University tutors that I write about this in the personal statement I will be submitting for a social care course:
- It is also expected that applicants demonstrate an insight into the course itself, with particular focus on the strategies a student may need to employ to negotiate their direction of study.
Thank you in advance for your help!!

I think it just means show how you are interested, maybe a particular focus and then how your current subjects/ hobbies will help you??

It means you have to show that you actually know what studying the course will entail. So read the course structure and express an interest/opinion/knowledge about/experience of a particular element of it. And that you can use your initiative and be an independent learner.

I'd recommend that you carefully read the course outline to get a full understanding of what you will be learning and also read the course structure to understand how you will be learning and how you will be assessed and then apply this to your strengths and previous experience within your personal statement.
Best of luck!
