Go to http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/individuals/iwtclaim-a-tax-or-ni-repayment.shtml and get a P50 to fill out. Post it to the tax office that dealt with your internship wage. The tax office code should be on the P45 form your employer sent you after you finished.

*side tracking post - meant to be taken as a joke*

Does anyone else find it ironic that someone working at an IB, managing the worlds finances, doesn't know how to claim back tax??
Yes. Because it tells you how to do it on the f.ing P45 you get at the end of your internship. Which says quite a lot about young Dave.

Then ring the tax office of your previous employer and find out where it is.

in fairness - I was given an inaccurate P45 and have to go through a ridiculous nonsense to sort the whole mess out.

Ring your emloyee - get through to HR. Ask for the P45. If they can't give it to you (as mine are refusing), you can get something called a statement of earnings. And then send that with the P50 - as someone linked to. Or better yet, call the tax office, explain the situation, and ask for their help. They really are very helpful. Hope that helps.
