While congratulating everyone who got offers from Oxford for Medicine, I would like to know what went wrong in my case...
    1. I have 13 A*s and 1 A in my GCSE
    2. I have 5 A*s predicted from my School (Grammar School)
    3. I have done BMAT well, having scored 6.2 out of 8
    4. I have done the interviews also well.

Still rejected! I can't believe what else is required by Oxford.
I had done care home visits for more than 6 months; shadows with doctors (one with a Dentistry, one with ENT specialist in a hospital).. However, there was no place in the application process to submit any certificate from the Care Home or the Work Experience, even though I mentioned these in my Personal Statement.. Could that be a reason for rejection..

I am OK in not getting admission to Oxford, but the word 'not offered or rejected' weighs heavily on me.
I feel very sorry for you. You are well deserve to be there.
I don't know whether you are too late for review the decision. If you have good reasons to do that point them out clearly.

To expand on your answer, you can do that for Cambridge but you'd need "extenuating circumstances" with justification from someone at your current uni (which is why I didn't apply there).

The question I was asked about it was literally just "So why are you applying to Oxford?" After I gave my relatively short answer, they just said ok and moved on.

Lastly, the current uni really has no part to play in the application - no one at the faculty would or could have known that I had reapplied if I hadn't suddenly told them I'm dropping out today.

That's my personal experience at least, hope it helps others in a similar situation!
Hi, can I just ask, did you get your reference from someone other than a uni tutor for your ucas application? Thanks

Thank you! Yeah I applied while already doing Law at UCL. I applied to PPE @ Merton last year and got rejected, chose to do Law @ UCL (applied for like 3 UCL courses because I wanted to go to the best uni I could and wasn't sure what I wanted to do exactly). Transfers aren't possible; I'll be dropping out of UCL so going to have a good 8 months off before starting 1st year again in Ox.
I would like know whether you use the same referee when you applied for the second time. Secondly, did you change your personal statement or did you use the same personal statement. My son was rejected last January but he got good grades, 5 A*s and one A for A/L. He doesn't want to apply again . In case if he make up his mind to apply again information that I asked from you could be useful..
