    biologically speaking, i am at a good weight for my height, age, etc. However I do want to lose 5 kg because during the summer I used to eat very little and walk a lot, so I managed to lose the weight while I was on vacation & liked the way my body looked. I need advice on how to lose 5 kg again, specifically, how much should I eat, and how much should I work out? Any exercise I do will be in the gym, not running/walking outside because the heat is unbearable.
    Any tips are appreciated.

    Losing weight is all about being at a caloric deficit meaning you have to burn more calories than you consume. Start eating clean and/or eating less and you will start losing weight. It's as simple as that. You don't even need cardio.

    You need to find out your TDEE (google TDEE calculator).

    once you have that you will know how much you should eat. To lose weight you need to eat less than your TDEE.

    if you want to lose around 1lb a week all you need to do is eat 500 calories less than your TDEE per day, as 1lb of fat contains approximately 3500 calories (500 x 7 =3500), as when you eat less than your TDEE your body uses your fat as an energy source to make up the difference causing your to lose fat.

    it really is that simple, no special diet required.
