A girl I was good friends and knew for nearly 2 years left work on Wednesday, usually we arrange a collection for everyone who leaves but for one reason or another we didn't do one for her.

I was thinking of getting her a gift, taking it to her new place of work and leaving it there for her so she gets it when she starts on Monday (most likely won't see her before).

Does this defeat the object or am I overthinking it and she'll appreciate the gesture anyway?

I'm sure she'd appreciate the gesture. She might have been feeling a bit miffed about not getting the same treatment as other people who go, so I'm sure she'd be happy you're thinking of her

Thanks. Exactly how I see it.

    Any more opinions?
