Finally more freedom & I can buy a powerful hoover again!

What makes you think we are going to, or even could go back on our environmental obligations?

timeline of post WWII british politics:
    1945-1970 post war socialist consensus
1975-1980: europeanisation officially starts, the fact that socialism/protectionism doesn't work is more well known.
1980-1997: socialism is replaced by liberalisation and capitalism - the economy basically begins to prosper again.
1997-2016: british politics starts to go down the bog: mutliculturalism is officially started, immigration explodes, we start neoconservative wars in the middle east under the guise of counter-terrorism, the EU pull the pull of national identity, the era of political hyper-scepticism begins.
2017: the new dawn. britain ditches the corrupt, anti-democratic, failing EU and america resorting to electing a big-mouthed nationalist to replace the apologetic liberal corporate bigots, indicating just how far beyond driven america had become to get rid of the bush-clinton establishment they had been ruled by for a decade and a half.

so I'm hopeful that this is the stage in british politics kind of like 1980 again where things start going in the right direction. just like reagan and thatcher, maybe we'll have trump and may...eurgh, maybe not. theresa may is only the prime minister because everybody else in the leadership contest dropped out. she's not suitable for the job in my opinion. it's like hiring an ex-communist to lead russia after 1991.

Neither Hoover (Chinese owned) nor Dyson (a prominent Brexiteer) make their vacuum cleaners in the UK. What makes you think they will make a more powerful model just for the British market?
Do you think parents should charge rent?
