I am 18 and hopefully starting uni in september i am also moving city to do this and for that reason i want to bring my girlfriend with me.
She is 17 and still in education (sixthform) if we were to move would i get any type of help , shared house etc?

Or do you have to be married for any type of financial help?

She would be expected to still be in education and with her parents so she might struggle to get any form of benefits. Unless you yourself count as an independent student, you can't get dependents allowance or anything like that for her.

It would be easier to find somewhere to rent once she's 18, so could be worth waiting a few months otherwise contact cab they should be able to help.

no and honestly it would make life really difficult, student digs aren't set up for couples so it will be hard to find a place to live and will isolate you socially

just wait until she finishes her education
