Hey, I'm asking this on behalf of a friend who has not been keeping well and therefore could not study at all last month. Her Biology (Edexcel) unit 1 exam is in less than 48 hours. What should she do to get at least passing marks? Should she solve past papers, or read the whole book? Or maybe the revision guide? She has very little time to study and is still not perfectly fine so she's super terrified.

P.S. Please keep in mind that she has almost zero prep because she says she can't remember all the topics she studied before falling sick

My suggestion would be reading the guide and jotting down the key points on post its or flashcards. Your friend could try writing them out again and/or repeating them to memorise them more. I wish them good luck!

Making flash cards on key topics and going through past papers to see what may likely come up. Maybe also use different revision techniques, use fancy colors, eat sweets, anything that can help remembering a topic

My advice would be to make a rough A4 mind map on each section- flash cards are good but, for me, they take too long as I'd want to keep them for the summer exams so I take my time with them and cover everything. With mind maps, I just use felt tips and write down all key points- and don't write down things she already knows. Good luck to her
