A friend has a BBB offer for social policy with government at LSE. First of all, does anyone know the likelyhood of him managing to get in with ABC/AAC, which he reckons are more likely than BBB? Would ringing up and charming/begging the admissions tutor be likely to do any good at all?(personally, I strongly believe that he could talk his way in or out of almost everything).

Also, should he not get in, he'd still really like to go to London, for various reasons. Does anybody know what sort of stuff might be on offer in clearing? Whle he's not really picky with his course (he'd be willing to try anything politics/social policy/sociology related) he's slightly more so with his unis (for instance, he didn't seem impressed with my suggestion of Queen Mary). I'd be greatful for any suggestions!
