I highly doubt that a Grammar Sixth Form would demand 9s... especially considering that a 9 is supposed to be the top 5% performing candidates in the country.

I imagine that they would ask for 7/8 grades?

Which GS asks for 9s? Since only Maths and English are going to award them this year then I think you may have misread the entry conditions ...

Yes, But if you have a target grade of 9 i think you need to meet it to be able to get into a good sixth form.

I focused on GCSES and got 10A*S and C and now during A-levels... no one cares whether I got 10A*s or no A*S. Grammer Schools will ask for 7/8 or Bs and As (old system). GCSEs doesn't really mean anything. You need GCSEs to get into A-levels (College/Sixth Form) and A-levels to University. Good Luck anyways
