    Hi,

I'm considering applying for a PGCE starting either this or next year. I was wondering - does a PGCE course generally follow the university term dates, and are there any commitments outside of the term dates (school placement etc?).

I appreciate there will be assignments etc to complete

I'm wondering if it's possible to fit a two week holiday with my family in at the beginning of the year (outside of the uni term times) even if I need to take work with me to do whilst out there

    Thanks in advance!

    Phil

It's a good idea to wait till you have your timetable or at least email the uni and ask because things may come up and you may need to be around for them. Usually there aren't any taught commitments outside of uni term time but it's better to be safe than sorry!
