I'm currently in my first year of biochemistry at ucl and am currently considering potentially swapping over to philosophy. I'm currently researching this further and wanted to hear a few opinions.
How viable is it that ucl will let me change over, even if it means restarting next year?
If you're studying philosophy, what's it like? What are the best and worst aspects of your course? Do you enjoy the course overall? What drew you to the course?

Don't get me wrong I like biochemistry it is interesting, I just think I'm more interested in the implications of the science rather than the mechanisms themselves and philosophy seems so interesting so thought I'd least give it a look

If you had made this choice in October, you'd have been able to switch over immediately but you'll probably have to start it in September now because of the amount of work/exams that have been done so far.
