As the title says, I would like to know whether if doing past papers counts as revision. Recently, I have been spending a lot of time doing past papers instead of making notes. I am worried that I am not spending time doing the appropriate task at this time of the year. Help!

past papers are probably to some extent better (depending on what sort of subjects you do) as they analyse your ability in the format of your actual exam

Ahh, interesting analogy. So then its OK to be doing past papers? I am at GCSE level but thought this would be a better place to post.

No, everyone only does past papers for the fun of it. Absolutely useless.
Sorry, I'm too sarcastic for my own good.
They're and excellent way of revising, maybe a stage later in in revision to test your knowledge from the notes you've made.

Lmao, but seriously I do past papers because they are more enjoyable (does anyone else feel this way?) Also, I prefer this to making revision notes whilst it also testing my knowledge and understanding.
