    Yeah

Parents are Arab and taught me + Saturday Arabic school up until year 11.
I text my family (mainly my Mum but both parents, + extended family over in 'the homeland') in Arabic.

I obv speak Arabic with my fam (English with my siblings though) but it's more like Arablish because I always have seem to say atleast one English word in a single sentence . Makes it kinda weird when you're talking to fam back 'home' and you're like "alright" and they're like "huh?" xD

I've heard it takes 7 years from non-arabs who learned it
but my hairstylist is a white woman who married an iraqi man and she speaks better Arabic than me and sounds just like a native you wouldn't even be able to tell... although her kids are in their mid 20s so obv it must've taken a while

being in an arabic speaking country helps a lot
