    Hi,
I'm seriously interested in applying to the army as an officer (probably intel corps) - I want to join after university, and so will also want to apply for the undergraduate bursary. I am currently in my final year of Sixth Form (taking my A levels this year).

I understand that to apply for the bursary you have to go through the AOSB, and I have been told that you can only apply once you are 18. Is this correct? I have been told by a friend that you can apply to be a solider 7 months before you are 18 - does this also apply for officers as well?

Also, would it be advisable at all to apply for the bursary and go through Board before uni? Or would it be possibly be better applying once I have started university and joined the UOTC?

Sorry for so many questions but thank you nevertheless !
