    Hi all,

I've received an uncinditional offer to study for the history MA at QUB. Is there anyone here who has studied the course? If so would they recommend it?

Secondly, what is the university and Belfast like? I have never been to NI before and applied because the cost of the course was relatively low compared to other good universities but, at the same time, being a quality institution. Further, what's it like as an Englishman studying there?

    Many thanks to all!

    Hi there adamrules247,

    Congratulations again on your offer!

Unfortunately I can't offer any personal insights into the History MA but can offer a little information about living in Belfast.

The main Queen's campus at the Lanyon Building is very close to the City centre and is also right in the heart of the Queen's Quarter of Belfast which is home to numerous restaurants and cafes, pubs and clubs as well as being right on the doorstep of The Ulster Museum and Botanic Gardens.

Belfast itself is definitely a city that has something for everyone whether you love arts and culture, good food, nights out, sports or shopping. Check out our video on why Belfast is a great place for students. The Visit Belfast website is also a good resource and offers a wealth of information on what the city has to offer.

Also please have a look at our Campus Photos thread as well. I'd started it with the intention of it being able to give a bit more of a visual insight into the Queen's campus and beyond for students such as yourself who have never been to Belfast before.

Hope this helps a bit and if you have any more questions just let me know.

    Kachela
