What are you doing for English lit?

I'm currently doing A level English lit. I look at a new essay style question every two weeks- something like "how far do you agree that the women in both plays are presented as powerless". Then I read the texts I'm doing (streetcar and malfi) looking for quotes to fit that question that I could use in an exam (if the question were that one). Then i make notes and flash card of these quotes in relation to the context, connection to the other text and alternative interpretations. Then I memorise these quotes and elements to write about them. I feel this really helps you to know the texts and it's easier to do so since you are reading the texts for a purpose to gather specific quotes rather than aimlessly scanning the pages, thinking of other things.
