It's a song about a kappa (Japanese mythical creature which if I remember rightly eats people) and how much she likes kappa-maki (cucumber rolls)

Actually that's not true. I'll have to think deeply about whether it's worth the additional cost of studying at MIT when I can just go to Cambridge

Five and a half months into my maths degree, I can now confirm that pi is indeed not 14.3.

(American dates are silly. Would you write binary with the digits representing 2^n in some similar permutation? Perhaps it is related to the whole old English "two and twenty" nonsense, but its all wrong.)

Yeah but it'll still be cheaper to stay in the UK I think. I reckon I'll need to put forward around $20k a year to study in America which might just be doable but it's still a heck of a lot of money.

Such a shame the MIT exchange is no longer a thing.

Yup. Never understood it. It makes sorting weird too.

I use the American dating system as file names for records of meetings with my supervisor for my EPQ. I hate myself for it but it does mean the meetings appear in order automatically 😈

Yeah I guess if you're working with stuff from multiple years that would be the best way. My EPQ stuff is all in 2016 so it's not too much of an issue

WRONG! Pizza Hut's King of the Coast is the best coast.

True but I don't think I would have been strong enough academically to be able to do the exchange anyway.

Yes true, adding the dashes improves readability.
