Has anyone else set their college as their phone lock screen? I'm trying to use it to motivate me but I just end up gawping at how nice Selwyn is instead of working 😂
Yep, I have the mathematical bridge as mine, plus I have a mood board of pics for when I start to doubt myself again

I'll do that! Thanks haha. Establishing the correct level of formality is not my strong point.
If in doubt I just do "good morning/ afternoon"

    The boat race tomorrow!

forgot to ask him if it's ok to reveal his identity, so can't tell which one but.......
Someone familiar to veteran posters here will be in Goldie's boat, which is a great achievement.
Let's keep our fingers crossed and he and his crew will beat the other boat!
(Unfortunately Isis/Goldie race won't be live on air but BBC will play the video while waiting for the main race to begin)

Oh, and let's hope the Light Blue will repeat the victory this year too.

Including the flipping Olympics! Pretty sure that was on the Thames wasn't it?

No Olympic was at Eton's race course.
Thames isn't fit for purpose. It's a completely different kind of race.

I got an unconditional for maths at Trinity last year. Maths here is so easy, wouldn't recommend it if you are looking to push yourself.

Most of major boat races compete on straight course without flow of water (or at least very minimal) = regatta.
The Boat Race rows with incoming tide of the Thames which is a very bendy river. Completely different skill s(esp. cox) and strategy are needed. Also it's MUCH longer.
So is Bumps, though the Cam isn't a tidal river, and the race is between locks so not much flow.
