The Student Room Group

Gay capital of Wales?

Well, according to the Cwrt Mawr accomodation thread anyway.

I was just wondering what the GLBT group is like, and would someone like me who is neither G, L, B or T be welcome? I'd love to join.

As well as not being sexually typical, and thoroughly going with the cause, as it were, I'm so used to being friends with gay people that it'd be weird not to have them in Wales... :p:

*hopes that at some point we'll amusedly realise that there is a token straight in our group again*

I'm not an L G B or T and I went to a lot of their socials etc last year and had a membership card, they were all lovely. They'll be wandering the campus with a big rainbow banner if last year's anything to go by and will definately have a stand at freshers fayre.

The line I got off one of the senior members before is it's technically 'AberPride' so it doesn't imply that you HAVE to be LGBT really...but she said that like a year ago haha...

 i'll have to join as well, i just wouldn't feel at home without being the "token" straight girl as i was at secondry school and college otherwise.

Plus i own a rainbow hat

But if i joined that soceity would i still be allowed to join others? or is it just one society per person?

You can join as many clubs/societies as you want. The only thing stopping you is the amount of time you have

You'll end up joning about 764908608346 societies and then you'll get home, wonder where your money's gone...be covered in bags and freebes hanging off every part of you...and you won't even go to half of them...believe me haha.
