I signed into Skype today and it said I needed to change my password because it looked like someone else had been using my account.

I answered some security questions and changed my password. After signing in, I saw that a strange link had been sent to several of my contacts (a link I don't recognise and I clearly didn't send it myself). It's possibly a virus of some sort. I haven't clicked it.

I use my own computer for Skype. No one else uses the computer and I've never signed into Skype on any other computer. So I find it strange that this has happened. Should I be worried or is it nothing?

Your skype details can have been taken a number of different ways. I recommend having a full scan on your computer by your anti-virus and telling your Skype friends not to open any links from you for a while until you make sure that whatever sent them is gone

This happened to my aunty! Tell all your contacts that you didn't send the link and call Skype.

If you've changed the password, I wouldn't worry too much but just to be on the safe side

    Call Skype? Why?

The link sending thing is common with viruses, change your password, run a virus scan and you'll be fine

Skype support is the worst at the best of times, they'll say nothing valuable.

Change your password and tell people what happened, same thing happened to me and then make sure it is a password you never use elsewhere.
