UMS averages always make me want to cry as one out of the 2 UMSs that I got is the subject I got a B in...aka my worst subject
UMS averages have never been a key factor. They are just used for stats purposes, and for the auto-pooling criteria which is no longer a thing for most people anyway. Cambridge has always been much more interested in UMS from individual modules, rather than an average of averages.

Hey guys, when r we going to hear back from Cambridge? My friend told me they r going to send the mails out tmrw?
Letters will be posted on the 11th. Emails to non-UK applicants on the 12th. Some colleges may also email everyone on the 12th/13th.

@jneill when will we (pooled people) find out? After the 19th?

Well a lot is stuff applicants can directly relate to. Especially digs at other unis and, of course, Girton or Land Ec. I'm sure some off it is more "in" but applicants can, er, aspire to be in on those memes too.

As to the "outside" world - yeah that's more curious. But the world seems to enjoy Oxbridge nonsense like the boat race, so why not memebridge too.

Is anybody else worried about the weather warnings in relation to the postal service? If the snow disrupts my post I think I'll cry.
    Nah it never snows here
We're at sea level, have a tidal river which apparently brings in warmth and are in the perfect location for the rain coming off the Welsh hills. Whenever there's a weather warning for snow it always rains

I got told by my mate at Durham who is currently engaged in the so-called "Meme War". He said he browses Memebridge so much that he feels like he goes there.

My predictions are, if I am given an offer, it won't be direct but will be from a mature college. Maybe wolfson.

lol it's so specific it's obviously wrong
