I recently came across an amazing deal near me for a used Herman Miller Aeron chair that I could not refuse.

I've got the chair home and it's in wonderful condition... all apart from a strong stench of weed. I've had it home about 30 hours now, and I left it in a very well aired porch overnight and put it out in the cold but sunny weather for an hour or so earlier today and I think the smell has disappeared slightly but it's still pretty strong and noticeable once you get close to the chair itself.

The arms are fabric but the back and chair is mesh and the rest of the frame is plastic I guess. The fabric arms are the worst part but you can smell it even on the frame if you get close. I don't want anyone who walks in my study to assume this smell is coming from me, nor do I want to smell it everytime I sit down.

How can I eliminate this odour entirely? In a way that does not damage or compromise any of the quality of the various parts of the chair?

    Many thanks for suggestions.

Have you tried Febreze? You should be looking to get a refund though.
