I'm a girl with a high sex drive, i already know that. I watch porn and masturabate admittingly but I want to stop, as well as keep myself pure aka not meddling with anyone before marriage.

People with habits will know it is hard to stop a habit. Unfortunately i have gotten into the habit of watching porn and masturbating which is bad because i really want stop before I do eventually have sex with a guy but then realise it isn't what it is in porn because porn is unrealistic.

    How do i stop????

Well, you may decide to limit yourself from masturbation. But in no scenario should you stop masturbating.
Masturbation is healthy for your body, and you should at the very least masturbate once a week.

If ya wanna stop, then just stop lol. I masturbate like 3-4 times a day, but if I so choose, I just don't masturbate, never been a problem to me.

The idea of stopping masturbation is because well for a lot of people that it's easy to go back to porn while you're doing it. Also you don't have to masturbate it's does no harm in not doing so.

If being completely chaste and never masturbating or having sex before marriage is what you want to do, I can respect that, but I honestly don't think it's healthy or sustainable for most people. Cutting out porn, however, is perfectly possible and IMO can be really beneficial for your mental health and sense of self-worth.

My partner and I both used to be addicted to porn. When I say addicted, I mean getting off to it on our own 7 or 8 times every single day. We gave it up because we wanted to make sex/nudity mean something again, and wanted to acknowledge the disconnect between what we were getting off to and what we actually believe in when our minds are "sober". Neither of us are okay with how the pornographic industry operates at present, yet there we were supporting it just by clicking.

After a while, most people get desensitised and start looking for more extreme stuff, which wouldn't be a problem (I'm all for kink) if the industry creating that content wasn't incredibly corrupt and exploitative, and the actors involved were getting paid and treated properly.

Here are some steps you can take:
    1. Read 'Your Brain on Porn' by Gary Wilson.
    2. Love yourself. Write down what you actually believe about sex, intimacy, etc. etc., and see whether those values match up with what you're doing. You are the person who chooses how you act, you just need motivation.
    3. Learn about the industry and how it treats its workers. Read accounts from former actors, discover the horrible wealth of abuse that happens on-set, and learn about who has all the money at the end of the day. Mindgeek are laughing their way to the bank hosting pirated content and getting ad money from your clicks, whilst the actors involved made 20p from making the movie and can't ever get it taken down if they leave the industry.
    4. If you still want to watch porn at the end of all this: Buy it direct from sex workers and try to keep your consumption moderate so as to limit the emotional numbing you do to yourself.

Oh, and I don't have a study for this, but I'd be really curious if somebody did one: Everyone I've ever slept with who loved porn or watched the hell out of it was truly awful in bed.

If you have a high sex drive, you're likely to want some outlet and given you don't want to have partner sex before marriage, masturbation is your basic option.

Which is fine, because it's great. As well as the pleasure and the release of sexual tension aspects, you can explore what works for you in terms of touch and thoughts.

The vast bulk of what's been said about porn here is crap. It's existed as long as civilisation - the main difference now is that it's easier to access. But what's also true is that the vast bulk of it is indeed crap.

So what would happen if you stopped watching video porn and only masturbated when you were horny without it?

Easier to access = more addictive. Just look what happened with food and drugs. Most people go overboard when given the chance. You can definitely have too much of a good thing, but I'm not sure there are any real benefits to watching porn. All evidence points in the other direction.
