    Hi, I've a really hard time staying hard...

    I have never had any problems during foreplay or when I masturbate but when it comes to more... I can't stay hard very long. And when it's gone, it's gone, nothing will do.

    I'm pretty sure it's because of the stress but I don't know what do to anymore. How long will it be? It's been more than a month already. I wanted to see a GP but I'm not sure about that... What can he do? Talking won't help. Give me cialis or something like that? I mean I'm only 22 and I heard it could have big consequences.

    Please help, did anyone have this kind of problem? What should I do?

    Thank you

    * stop masturbating
    * take more than a day to rest
    * go without for a few weeks or month
    * work out
    * look into other health issues
    * you probably don't want to do it

    Relax. Stressing about it is not helping. How does your partner feel?

    Apart from this, how are you enjoying the intercourse? Have you ever come as a result, for example?

    Keeping masturbating is actually a sensible thing to do. For example, if you stop in the middle of a session, so your erection goes away, can you get it back?

    She's cool about it. I couldn't get hard at all at the beginning and last time we tried we "could do it" at least, even if it only lasted about 5min.

    Well hard to say, we tried many times and as I said we only had sex for like 5min. But yeah those 5min were great.

    No. That's the main problem. If I lost the erection but could easily get it back it wouldn't be that bad but once it's gone, it's gone

    I have to admit I masturbate(d) a lot -I try to reduce- and maybe I'm having a hard time staying hard doing anything without my hands?

    Please help

    The fact that you can get erections says that it's not a physical thing. It's great that your partner is not adding to the mental side.

    My guess is that what you're experiencing is the very different sensations of intercourse as not as erotic as the masturbation / partner handjobs that you're used to. This will come (sorry!) with time and practice. Fan as I am of condoms, this is where they can not be helpful too, both in terms of the 'Oh, I have to do this really quickly' time of putting this on and in reduction in physical sensation.

    What worked for me after about three months of practice was a combination of a) not making a big fuss about it to myself (most women don't come via intercourse, so why should every man, every time?) b) making sure that my partner knew she could say 'enough' if she ever wanted to stop intercourse and c) realising that she could take much more vigorous action than I expected. The second one freed me from worrying if it was too hard, and the extra stimulation from doing it that way lead to me coming. Once I had, it was much easier to do so more gently or without one of us holding my penis or having her legs together.
