    Regret failing at trying.
If you haven't done something it will just be a small regret however if you've done it and failed miserably, nothing is worse than the feeling of regret when it comes back to haunt you, especially if you're alone with your thoughts and that very scene keeps repeating itself in your head over and over again...

Regretting never trying something. There were so many things I have wanted to try/do when I was younger but never did (for various reasons) and now I'm thinking if I did do those things I would be really good at it now

Not trying is automatic failure. At my gym, we tell the new guys that each and every single one of em is already beating everyone at home on the couch.
Definitely worse regretting never trying at all

Failing at 'trying' something. Well (a) you are trying. You don't necessarily have to succeed when you try. Practice makes perfect (b) at least you can say to yourself you tried
