Can no longer imagine a relationship Watch

When I was younger I could easily imagine myself having a girlfriend going on a date etc., but now years later with no success. I find this hard to believe.

Mainly because I feel like I look like someone who girls would not like. Which is weird because I dress well and I am not shy. I hit the gym etc. But i just feel like a little kid rather than a man

How often do you socialise? Are you good at what you do? And do you not give off the stereotypical perv or "only here to shag" look when you see a girl?

I talk to my friends in school everyday and even socialise with my teachers, with girls I like I don't think I look like a perv, maybe i come across as desperate and thats why they are never interested. With girls I don't like I talk to them but dont really get close/become friends.

You're along the right lines, I guess. If any of your friends (assuming they're all male) have made out with the opposite gender you could ask where they met?

I think its just the terms of you havent met the right person yet. Do you like anyone in particular? Slowly start talking with her, even about stupid stuff ask if asking for something. Slowly youll guys be talking more and become closer, and eventually ask her if she wants to hang out sometimes and stuff. If you dont like anyone in particular, then you simply might be missing somone, as you have said, you dont become close with girls, if so then how do you know if they like you on not? Girls crush on someone most of the time...all of the time so you might not even know if someone likes you or not because you simply keep your distance as you have mentioned

When I was a kid I imagined myself marrying a kind and pretty girl, taking good care of her and growing old together. Now I cannot see the value in one woman.

    Spoiler:
    Show

The only reasons I can see for getting married are:

    1) There are no successful men who are unmarried, even if you're an adulterous swine you have to find yourself a wife to get anywhere in life

    2) One day I'll be grey and my abs will fade, I'll need to find a way to have sex on tap

I think I am just really unlucky with my choice of girls, the last time I liked one it was painfully obvious that she knew my intentions and as a result would just avoid me completely in person -.- it was really obvious. Didnt even make it to the friendzone xD.

But tbh its my fault for liking a girl without getting to know her makes me shallow+superficial

Aww, sorry to hear that. Yet i can say tho, girls are unpredictable and half of the time no one knows whats going on in their head. Perhaps you tried to rush things or she werent into you at all. I would say dont announce if you like someone, but slowly start talking to them and only then try to give some hints about your feelings. Because speaking from my experience, knowing before hand can put girls a bit off SPECIALLY if they werent into a guy in the first place.

    Does this bother you?

I'm asuming you are 6th form. 17,18 is a bit young to be giving up.
Look at things from a female perspective and what they might find attractive.
What efforts do you undertake to make the most of yourself? Uts not just about looks.
What efforts do you make to maximise your dating skills and practice?

You dont sound very confident and you already said you dont like talking to them. You need to identify your weak points before you can fix them.

Statistically married men live longer than unmarried men so that's a bonus...
