Break up with someone who has depression ? watch

    my current girlfriend has depression and talks about committing sucide all the time. I want to break up with her but am scared she will do something and have been told by friends that i can't break up with her it would be wrong and unfair. Anyone got any suggestions

    You can’t control how she reacts or feels…or what she does after the breakup.
    You'll need to be careful with what you say though,“I don’t know how to say this because it’s one of the most difficult things I’ve ever done, but there’s something you need to know'

    So say things that show how you feel – not how your partner has been acting.

    so an example could be, “I don’t have the strength to be in a relationship right now, because I feel overwhelmed by things happening at the moment” might be more effective than “Your depression is an emotional burden that I can’t handle anymore.” - Just an example- Im not saying that's the reason...

    possibly ask her to seek help too?...asap

    as long as you're honest and talk her through it, it'll be okay.:yep:

    Get her to seek help. Breaking up with her will leave her in a fragile state of mind and may make matters worse. Give her support and then when the time comes, you can break up with her.
