Hello, So I will be studying in Hamburg from March for five months and I know very little German and I was wondering how easy it will be to get around. Obviously I'm gonna try and learn as much German as I can before I get there but I'm just curious on whether I would be able to cope without it.

    Go to Hamburg.

If you're worried bring 3 things with you - a phrase book(to help you get around), a more detail language course book(to learn the language properly), and a medium sized dictionary (look up new words and use to learn vocab).

If you're outgoing, & friendly like me - you won't have a problem making friends and picking up the language.
