I don't want to go back to my uni town until next week. I haven't really had a chance over the holidays to relax, and I still have a lot of work to do for my dissertation. I want to focus on that at home for the next week and then go back.

I study a literature degree and usually the first week of lectures count for nothing - they give a basic introduction to what we'll be covering etc.
I will be able to get lecture and seminar recordings from friends. My attendance is usually very good so I would regularly attend as of next week.

Should I just go? Or would it not be so bad if I missed it?
