Put it this way, if it's darker and colder(Scandinavia), you feel no qualms about being inside, working etc, being outside only to get to places. You can use vitamin D.
If it's sunnier with longer winter days, then you always have enough sun to 'top up' most time you go out, you're not 'thirsty' for it.
But England is like, not sunny enough to have a plentiful amount, it has just enough, and just too little, so that you long to be outside everytime it is there, and hate being in work.
What do you say?
If I was in Florida with air con etc, and my skin, I wouldn't go out that much or miss it if I wasn't.
I lived real briefly in mid/south France, and once in Scotland. I think they are better as I described.
