    Hi,

I was recently accepted onto a School Direct training programme for which I will be entitled to a £9000 bursary. I will need extra help with financing the course fees and am trying to work out whether I am eligible to apply for student finance for these.

I dropped out of my first degree in February 2012 and then returned to university that September. Because of this I have already received 4 years of student finance despite only completing a 3 year course. Will I be eligible for a 5th year of finance for the teacher training programme?

Student finance isn't a specific number of years (for undergraduate funding everyone is entitled to funding for the length of their course + 1 "gift" year to restart/retake).

PGCE/SCITT funding is not reliant on your previous study/funding. Your previous funding would only matter if you were trying to get funding for a second undergraduate degree - which you aren't.
