    Hello everybody,
The old GCSE Maths was much more easier and there was less content but ever since the 'New 9-1' Maths spec has started, I feel very stressed out about maths, almost like i want to give up, I just don't think i can do well in it in my real GCSE's.

My question is: What shall I do, to fell very confident about Maths? and Can i learn all the content by 18 weeks till exam starts, will cramming just make it worse in Maths?

    Thank you,

    Chloe

    Hiya,

It's normal to feel a bit stressed/anxious especially as it's a new paper. Maths is mostly about practice- you'll become more confident about how to approach different questions, using formulae e.t.c. through doing plenty of past paper questions.

It is also important to learn the theory as well so that you can use them to solve problems. E.g. angle facts, shape formulae. I used to make flashcards for these.

Try and make use of the resources available e.g. your teacher, revision guide, youtube and remember that you've got plenty of time

Hah sounds abit like me :\ I am scared as hell right now with maths. It's a specification with new topics that just play with my brain so much . All I'm hoping for is that AQA or the exams board atleast play it easy with the grade boundary this year because of the harder paper. Plus many other schools are finding these papers hard.
