Hey! Newcastle has recently given me an offer and before they open for accommodation applications I would love if people could help me choose. I want to be in the most sociable place overall, thanks in advance

Barker House is pretty good from what I've seen & heard from friends, but my main advice is avoid The View and Verde like the plague. They both have terrible layouts which often put as little as a meagre two group flats on a floor due to the number of studio flats filling each floor. In general the flashy modern high-rise stuff is kinda terrible for student living.

Obviously look through all of them for yourself anyway to see what catches your eye. Other thing I'll add is that en-suites are a totally pointless waste of money, so if you're on the fence about that, I'd say don't bother. Basin rooms are less cluttered anyway.

Hi! I'm a first year at Newcastle and I live in Marris house - everyone is so sociable and friendly in my flat and I love it!
Other place that I've heard are good are castle leazes and manor bank, id avoid St Mary's as it's soooo far away ad go for accommodation's that are closer to campus as there tends to be more students! Hope this helped and enjoy Newcastle!

Hiya! Avoid the ones NOT in city centre, because metro is kinda slow, and anything further away than Jesmond will just be a bad idea since it's too far from the clubs and bars (or even where your friends will be staying)

St.Jame's point/Newcastle 1 is really sociable, Point is right beside the stadium and 5mins from all the major party scenes; 1 is 3mins from the train station (very quiet geographically, but the major social events are held here), generally speaking, these two accommodations got both privacy but you can interact and be social anytime. There's common room with all sorts of entertainments available, on-site gym and whatnots, hope it helps!
