    Hey

I want to pursue a Master's Degree in Creative Writing. I have an undergraduate degree in Computer Science. Has anybody been down this road before? I could really use some help!
And do you think the grades I scored in my undergrad degree would matter too much during the assessment of my application?

    HELP NEEDED! Seriously.

    Thanks!

First off, why do you want to do this masters degree? I think you'll find that it isn't a necessity to work in the field and experience counts for more. Have you checked entry requirements for the degree course? Finally, yes your grades will be taken into consideration even if for no other reason that to check that you're capable of university level work.

I just want to reiterate this point: why do you feel you need to do a Masters, OP? Have you tried looking at online classes or books in your local library on the subject? Perhaps this could also be an alternative.

Having said that, I did a relatively quantitative social science for my undergraduate degree and managed to get offers from top liberal arts programs (mainly history). I did get probed on why I wanted to make the shift. Just make sure you know why you want to do a masters and what preparation you have done to make the shift.
