    Hi all,

I went to university 2 years ago but dropped out, then went on to work for a year and am now currently on a gap year and will be going to a different university next year. I need to apply but i got terrible grades (cdde) and want to study business. I want to apply to a better university than the one i went to before but how do i apply when i dont meet the requirements? I have two years experience in more "real world" stuff will my application have to be different?

    Thanks

If you don't meet the requirements, you should check whether the unis will consider you. They may be willing to accept you with lower grades and work experience, but 2 years isn't that much work experience so is unlikely to make a difference. If you just apply without checking then you're very likely to be disappointed.

You need to consider where you're getting your reference from. Your previous school will not be relevant as you're now applying based on your work, but if you do use a reference from a job then they will know you're looking to leave.
