I'm in A2 and I have decided that I will not be going to university and this decision was made because of my anxiety it has gotten very bad. once I leave college I wikll be expected to work, obviously however though I'm soo scared about my future what If I don't fit in to retail what if I'm not liked, as I am socially awkward

Hi, I'm in college too. We just had to do our UCAS applications, but I wasn't sure whether I wanted to go to university. I didn't want to go because I have really bad social anxiety and I'm scared of all the people, having to potentially speak in front of others, etc. I decided to send off an application anyway, I'm still not even sure I wanna go.
You say you'll be expected to work and you're scared about your future/ about not fitting in. Is retail a set idea of what you want to do in life? If not, why don't you try an apprenticeship? You get paid whilst learning, and you get a degree at the end of it. You could then try retail (if you still want to) or you could use the qualification you got from the apprenticeship to aim for another field of work? Just a suggestion.
