    Hi everyone!

Looking for some advice, which hopefully you good people won't mind helping with.

Unfortunately, I have a low decile score (8), although I have lot's of extracurricular stuff (summer research projects/scholarships, peer review/poster/oral presentations, 2.1 intercalated degree). How much of a hindrance do you think this decile score will be (I'm predicting a lot!), especially given I really want to go to either the scottish or Cambridge AFP programs? For these two programs in particular, does anyone know how decile rankings are used in either selection for interview, or who to offer jobs to?

Thanks a lot for any help you can offer!

Cambridge is probably going to be very tough - I know plenty of people with 1sts and distinctions who could not get a London or Oxbridge AFP. I don't know much about Scotland. I do think you have a realistic shot at getting one of the medium competitive AFP posts, think Yorkshire, North West, etc.
