So I've almost submitted my application and I'm already wondering how soon I should receive offers!
I finished my a levels years ago and have worked and traveled since.
Obviously I don't need to wait till august to know whats up, I'll either be rejected or receive unconditional offers.
Anyone got any idea how quickly I should expect those?

It depends on how busy the admissions department is - often there's only one person going through applications for each course alongside doing their regular lecturing/teaching job. There's no way to tell and some unis will probably be quicker getting back to you than others.

It could be anything from a few days to a few months, but you will have answers by mid-May at the latest. How long is it since you last studied? You may find that universities won't make you any offers without evidence of a recent successful course of study (usually within the last 3 years).

You'll hear pretty much when everyone else does. But as above, most unis want proof of recent successful study. If you haven't already discussed your application with your unis, don't be optomistic. Contact Admissions Offices now, discuss your situation and see whether they need you to do more study pre-uni.

Luckily I finished my a levels in 2014, so that's less than 3 years. I got my confirmation emails from the unis I applied to on Thursday morning, then my first offer Thursday evening! Just waiting very impatiently to hear from the other 4 now!

Congratulations. The waiting is horrible, but at least the pressure is off as you have one in the bag already.
