    Hi Guys,

Im 16 years old and Im going to be turning 18 in 1 year 4 months. I was planning on moving out around the summer holidays before I start Uni. Does anyone know any good unis where the area rent is cheap and safe environment (so I don't get robbed). Is University of Birmingham any good? I hear that rent in Birmingham is cheap.

Please don't choose a uni based on cheap rent! Yes London is difficult to live in on a budget but apart from that go where you will be happy doing your course and as a student. Most people will be in the same boat as you.

The rent varies so much..I'm at a Northern uni (known for cheaper rents) and some people pay £60 per week...Some people pay £135 a week... you can find "cheap rent" at any uni you go to..

I was thinking about moving out somewhere of campus. Perhaps a one bedroom flat.
