So I applied to St. John's, who emailed me to say that aren't offering me a place, but that "that it might still be possible that another college may accept you or underwrite an open offer for you". Does that mean it's still possible for me not to have a place anywhere?

    Thanks in advance

It means what it says, basically: you may or may not get an offer from another college. So you may still get into Oxford (but a different college) but you may not get into Oxford at all. The wait continues!

    Good luck
